One Digital’s recorders designed for the evidential recording of interviews onto CDs, are suitable for use either as a standalone recorder, or part of a fully networked system.
The recorder is easy-to-use and guarantees faultless, digital stereo recordings of up to two hours (or eight hours if configured for extended duration recordings) on two identical CD’s. Both copies are digitally signed, preserving the integrity of the recording.
If power is lost at any point during the recording or disc finalising process, then that will be the only thing that is lost! When powered up again, AIRLight recorders will talk you through the options of writing the interview so far to the discs, or allowing you to continue your interview, with a record of the power loss event present on the recorded discs.
Weighing just over 2kg, the AIRLight can easily be transported away from the office for evidential or disciplinary interviews. A battery powered version is also available – offering complete portability and overcoming any problems you may encounter with finding a mains power supply when conducting interviews under caution.
The AIRLight recorder is network-ready, this means that if you are looking to get new recording devices now, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a networked recording system, you can use your AIRLight standalone to begin with. When the time comes, get in touch and we will arrange for our technicians to reconfigure your recorder’s software to enable it to operate on your network.
The recorders are available to purchase as a complete package, providing you with microphones and a padded carry case with your AIRLight recorder, and even sample CDs, giving you everything you need to conduct a completely PACE compliant, evidential interview in the field.
